Thillankeri Bineesh murder: 4 more CPM workers land in police net

Kannur: Four more CPM workers have been arrested in connection with the murder of Bineesh, a BJP activist at Thillankeri in Kannur district early September.

The police on Thursday arrested Akash (22), hailing from Vanjery, Divin Lal (22), Sreejith (30) and Rajin Raj (24), all natives of Pothilode near Thillankeri. Earlier two CPM activists were held in connection with the case.

A sword and stick, believed to have been used for the murder, were also recovered.

Bineesh (26) was hacked to death at Thillankeri in Kannur district on September 3, hardly two hours after a CPM man was injured in a bomb attack in the same area.
